We are in Changsha!

We were bussed to the plane in Beijing and took the ourdoor staircase....
Finally! The last flight of the day!Amy was waiting for us in Changsha!

Amy double-checking to make sure we brought all the correct paperwork with us!
ONE TIRED LITTLE BOY!
Good Morning! Or Good night....depending on where you are! After a very long day, we are now at our hotel in Changsha. It is 10:40 on Saturday night here and we are totally exhausted! Jackson loved flying on planes, and he certainly got his share today! By the last flight, he was beginning to get a little tired of it as well. However, our flights were uneventful, and that is how I prefer my flights to be! The only little snag was a delayed plane on the last leg...from Beijing to Changsha. But, we made it and our guide Amy was waiting to meet us at the airport...we were glad to see her! It was about a 30 minute drive to get to the hotel. Our paperwork said that we would be staying at the Norton, but this must have been a translation error, because we are actually at the Dolton in Changsha. The hotel is very very nice. We are in a city that has the same population as the entire state of Alabama...close to 4 million. Amy gave us lots of good information....we will relax and sleep tonight and have a free day tomorrow...Then on Monday morning about 10:15 she will pick us up to go get SAM! We are supposed to meet him at 10:30. That will be 10:30pm Sunday night in the US. After we get him and complete some paperwork, Amy will take us to the store to get some formula and diapers and whatever else we might need before we come back to the hotel. So, we probably won't be able to get a blog up until late that night...or early Tuesday morning for you guys.
We were able to skype for a bit with the girls tonight, and they have been having a blast at mimi and pawpaws!
We met a nice couple in Beijing who was on our same delayed flight- They are here from the Neterlands adopting a little boy who is 3 from this same province, and they are in our hotel as well. When our flight was delayed, they announced it in Chinese....no english translation, so we weren't sure what was going on....They were the only other family we could find who could speak English as well, so we were able to determine what was going on together. It was nice to not be the ONLY people who didn't know what was going on! I will have to post more pictures tomorrow, because they are taking forever to upload tonight. AND I AM TIRED!! NITE!
Blessings-
Meredith
